Finance Team

The Finance Team is responsible for administering the student organization funding process, where recognized student organizations can apply for funding from the HUA’s budget. They are also responsible for filing the organization’s taxes and filling out financial paperwork as appropriate. 

Members of this team receive required training with financial professionals at the start of each semester to better ensure the financial well-being of HUA. The Treasurer is responsible for ensuring that the Finance Team and HUA as a whole is following best financial practices and preventing waste, fraud, and abuse. Any member of the Finance Team who has a financial stake in a decision or conflict of interest must recuse themselves from decision-making on that particular issue. Every three years, the Finance Team must organize an audit of the HUA’s finances with Harvard Risk Management and Audit Services. The first audit will be in 2024, then 2027, 2030, and so on.
